An unidentified attacker stabbed a man in Bir Hasan, stealing the $17,500 cash the man was transporting from Jammal Trust Bank to BLOM Bank, a security source told The Daily Star. The man was attacked near the BLOM Bank and stabbed several times with a sharp object before the thief ran off with the money. The victim was immediately rushed to Rafik Hariri Hospital where he remains in a stable condition. Police are analyzing security camera footage from BLOM Bank as part of their ongoing investigation of the incident.
