Police arrest north Lebanon man accused of abusing teenage daughters
BEIRUT: Police in north Lebanon arrested a father who allegedly used sharp tools to abuse his two teenage girls, state media said.
The National News Agency reported that the father, identified by the initials J.S., "brutally" harmed his two teenage girls, aged 12 and 14.
He was taken to the Qobeiyat police station.
The NNA said that the father admitted to the charges, while the two girls were taken to their grandma's house.
The two girls said in their testimonies the father, 38, abused them by "holding them captive inside a bathroom, hitting them and burning them using an iron bar."
The statement said that the two girls were checked by a coroner, who said in his report that "one of the girls suffered multiple burns on her face and the other on her hands."
