في إنجاز أمني غير مسبوق، ونتيجة للتحريات والمتابعة، توافرت معلومات لدى مكتب مكافحة المخدرات المركزي في وحدة الشرطة القضائية، حول قيام أحد أخطر تجار المخدرات المطلوبين للقضاء، ويدعى: ج. ش. (مواليد عام 1979، لبناني)، بتهريب معدات وماكينات لأربع معامل لتصنيع المخدرات، وهي عبارة عن مختبرات متطورة وحديثة لتصنيع الأمفيتامين الباز، وهي المادة الأساسية لتصنيع حبوب الكابتغون "Captagon"، والقادرة على إنتاج ملايين الحبوب يوميا، وذلك من مدينة مومباي Mumbai في الهند، ويحاول بشتى الوسائل إدخالها عبر مطار رفيق الحريري الدولي.
وبتاريخ 22/10/2016، قامت قوة من المكتب المذكور بمداهمة مستودعات الشحن، حيث توجد هذه المختبرات، وعملت على ضبطها مع متمماتها، وأوقفت أحد الأشخاص الضالعين.
