On 26 Oct 16, a man was wounded during a personal dispute between two men in the northern district of Akkar. An argument between Fathi S. and Nasser S. turned violent in the town of Ain al-Dahab. Nasser, who was shot in his stomach with a military gun, was transferred to the Youssef Medical Center in the Akkar town of Halba for treatment. Internal Security Forces were deployed to the town to restore calm and prevent the situation from escalating, as they opened investigations into the reason behind the incident.
