On 06 Oct 16, the Public Transportation Union organized several protests all over the country to demand the cancellation of the mandatory vehicle mechanical check-up. At around 10hrs, the demonstrators arrived to Sanayeh Area, Hamra - Beirut in front of the Ministry of Interior and blocked the road. At 12:00hrs, the demonstrators left Hamra area and the road was reopened.
