On 20 July 16, contract workers at EDL (Electricite du Liban) the customers’ gate at the company's headquarters in Beirut as their protest over their employment status continues. They also briefly blocked the nearby Corniche al-Nahr Road. The employees vowed to further escalate their protest. The contract workers later erected a tent in the premises of the company.
