Six prisoners were lightly injured during the riot that happened in Qobbeh jail yesterday (Friday), a communiqué issued by the Interior Security - General Directorate, Public Relations Department said on Saturday. The communiqué mentioned that riot broke up yesterday afternoon in the said jail after two prisoners demanded to be moved to another prison, threatened to hang themselves, beat with the help of about ten prisoners others who refused to join them and then burned two mattresses, blocked the door not to allow security forces guards to enter to the cell block. It also said that at 22 minutes after midnight, a security force succeeded in ending the riot and bringing back calm to the place.
