BEIRUT: Lebanon's Internal Security Forces detained a teenager who threatened to blow up a police station in north Lebanon in what appeared to be a prank.

The 14-year-old teen was detained in the northern Lebanon town of Maryata after police tracked down his calls, ISF said in a statement issued Tuesday.

The teen, who was identified by his initials M.D., had called Zghorta police station over 15 times Monday threatening to blow up another police station, in particular the one located in Zghorta.

He admitted to the charges during questioning, in presence of his father, revealing that 18-year-old Aa.J. convinced him of making the threatening calls.

The latter however denied the charges.

Both teens were handed over to the Judicial Police Force of the northern city of Tripoli for further questioning. http://www.dailystar.com.lb/News/Lebanon-News/2016/Mar-29/344565-teen-ar...
