Civil Defense volunteers staged a sit-in on Tuesday before noon at the Fouad Shehab Stadium in Jounieh in parallel with the Cabinet session, demanding to become full timers.
The protestors hoped that their demands would be achieved.
"We have received new assurances, we hope to win, and if assurances were not implemented, we will continue our moves," Youssef Mallah, one of Civil Defense volunteers said.
