A major fire was extinguished on Friday in the Beirut district of Hamra, the state-run National News Agency reported.
“The Beirut Fire Brigade has managed to bring under control a blaze that ripped through diesel tanks in the Bristol area,” NNA said.
It said the diesel reservoirs supply private power generators in the area.
“Several firefighting vehicles took part in putting out the flames, which prevented their spread to the residential buildings,” the agency added.
