On 08 Jul 15, Sheikh Mounzer Al-Zouabi was assaulted by 3 Future Movement supporters and injured in his hometown, Aakkar El Aatiqa, North Lebanon. He had earlier received threats from those supporters, threatening him not to visit his hometown or he will be assaulted unless he changes his position supporting Hezbollah.
