Rafik Hariri International Airport's Customs thwarted Saturday evening a second attempt to smuggle a quantity of cocaine by a Nigerian nationality holder, NNA correspondent at the Airport reported.
In details, Nigerian T. M. (Born in 1973) arrived at Beirut Airport coming from Brazil via Abu Dhabi in transit on his way to Abidjan, whereby he was stopped at the Airport Customs checking point and found to be in possession of 3 kg and 600 grams of cocaine powder, packed inside 44 cigar pipes inside his bag. As a result, he was detained at the Airport and handed over to the Central Office for Drug Control for follow-up investigations.
