1986–1987: Eleven Lebanese were captured in Lebanon, transferred to and tried in Israel. Most of them were tortured. By 1997, they were still detained in Israeli prisons after their sentences had expired. They were arrested in the towns of Tibnine, Mays al-Jabal, ‘Ayta al-Sha’b, and Majdal Salm, all in Israeli-occupied South Lebanon.
