Grand Mufti Sheikh Mohammad Rashid Qabbani said on Friday that "the terrorist blast that targeted an Internal Security Forces checkpoint in Dahr al-Baydar today is an indicator of a new tour to shake Lebanon's stability and security by fueling strife in more than region, especially that the explosion took place simultaneously with the arrest of a terrorist cell in Hamra."

He called upon the Lebanese parties to close ranks in the nearest time possible before the regional danger reaches out to Lebanon.

The Mufti also contacted General Security Chief, General Abbas Ibrahim, and congratulated him on his safety after the blast.
