The event known as “Black Saturday” was triggered by the killing of four young Christian men, whose mutilated bodies were found on December 5. The mutilated bodies of four young Christians, who were kidnapped the previous day, were found in Fanar, in the Metn. A fifth young man was found, seriously injured. Three months earlier, one of the victims’ brothers had been killed in the Beqaa during a rally paper.
