NNA - The Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) Orientation Directorate issued on Friday the following statement:
"Investigations with the detainee Mahmud Khaled revealed that he has buried in a piece of land belonging to him in Fnaydek-Aakar a number of explosive material and grenades. A LAF unit raided the aforementioned location yesterday and uncovered mortar shells and explosives as well as metal balls used to make suicide vests. The confiscated materials were then handed over to competent authorities for further measures."
