Manal Al Assi tortured to death by her husband

Manal Assi died in hospital due to injuries she suffered from her husband, Mohammad al-Nhaily, beating after a quarrel in their home turned violent. According to accounts from relatives and neighbors, Nhaily called Assi’s relatives to come to the house and “get their daughter” while he was in the midst of assaulting her.

Fatima Bakkour, 7 months pregnant, stabbed to death by a sharp instrument

 

The victim, seven months pregnant, was found dead at her apartment in the Zghorta village of Maryata. She had been stabbed by “a sharp instrument.”, the army statement said. 

Bouthayna sets herself on fire in South Lebanon

"A 38-year-old woman died Wednesday after setting herself on fire in south Lebanon, security sources told The Daily Star. The woman, the wife of a municipality policeman from the southern town of Jwaya near Tyre, poured gasoline over herself and set it alight, the sources said. They added that her move came after she discovered her husband's intention to marry another woman. Security forces later on arrived to the scene and launched an investigation into the incident."
