Protesters briefly return to Riad al-Solh and the Central Bank

BEIRUT: Protesters gathered at the Riad al-Solh square, in rejection of the new government Wednesday evening, as the Cabinet put the finishing touches to the policy statement. Demonstrators gathered in Beirut said they do not give their “vote of confidence,” to Prime Minister Hassan Diab’s Cabinet. Dozens of protesters also gathered in front of Banque du Liban's headquarters in Hamra and blocked the road leading there. The protests lasted for a little over an hour.
