Kataeb supporters clashes with FPM supporters
The Lebanese Army intervened late Tuesday to push back local residents as a convoy of Free Patriotic Movement supporters attempted to drive through the area and criticize a local politicians.
The FPM supporters organized a convoy of cars toward Metn’s Bikfaya, near the residence of former President Amine Gemayel.
One FPM supporter told local TV channel Al Jadeed that supporters of the Kataeb Party were criticizing the FPM’s founder and Lebanese President Michel Aoun. “All of them means all of them, and Amine Gemayel is the leader of the corrupt,” the protester said.
Gemayel’s son, MP Sami Gemayel, is now the leader of the Kataeb Party.
