Electricity, water and Social Security workers are on strike in Hermil and Bekaa

واصل العاملون في ​الضمان الاجتماعي​ ومصلحة ​المياه​ و​كهرباء لبنان​ و​اوجيرو​ في مكاتب ​الهرمل​ و​البقاع الشمالي​ الإضراب والامتناع عن تقديم اي خدمات، التزاما بدعوة ​الاتحاد العمالي​ فيما استمر العمل في سائر الدوائر.

اجتمعت الهيئة العامة لأساتذة "​الجامعة اللبنانية​" بدعوة من الهيئة التنفيذية لرابطة الأساتذة المتفرغين في الجامعة، في مجمع الحدت الجامعي، وفوّضت الهيئة التنفيذية بإعلان الإضراب الشامل والكامل في الجامعة اللبنانية ابتداء من اليوم وحتّى إقرار ​الموازنة​ في ​مجلس الوزراء​، وبعدها يُبنى على الشيء مقتضاه.

كما فوضتها باتخاذ القرار المناسب تحقيقًا للأمور الآتية: "رفض المسّ بالرواتب، رفض المسّ بالصندوق التعاضدي، رفض المسّ بالنظام التقاعدي، إقرار الثلاث درجات لتحقيق عدالة الرواتب، إقرار الخمس سنوات للجميع عند احتساب المعاش التقاعدي

Saida governmental hospital continues on strike

ركّزت لجنة موظفي "​مستشفى صيدا الحكومي​"، على أنّ "ردًّا على بيان صادر من مكتب وزير الصحة العامة ​جميل جبق​ بتاريخ اليوم، بأنّ هناك اجتماعًا حصل مع ممثّلي الموظّفين وتمّ الاتفاق على فكّ الإضراب في "مستشفى صيدا الحكومي"، نوضح أنّ فعلًا حصل اجتماع بين وفد مصغّر من موظفي "صيد الحكومي" ووزير الصحة الّذي عرض بدوره اقتراحًا لفكّ الإضراب في المستشفى".

Veterans block entrances to port, BDL to protest austerity budget

Retired military and security personnel Tuesday blocked entrances to the Banque du Liban headquarters and the Port of Beirut as a preemptive strike against any measure in the 2019 draft state budget that might affect their retirement wages or benefits.

NSSF “employees are here to make their voices heard to officials: We got used to serving this institution by the sweat of our brow. Today it seems they don’t want us to do that anymore,” an employee told reporters outside the NSSF's headquarters, in Beirut.

Ogero employees to continue strike

Workers at state-run telecommunications company Ogero announced Tuesday the continuation of a strike they began last week to protest proposed cuts in the 2019 draft state budget.

Retired servicemen protest salary cuts

Retired servicemen took to the streets and gathered at al-Bass roundabout in Tyre, in protest at a proposal to cut their wages and pensions, National News Agency correspondent reported Tuesday.

Protestors next headed to Zahrani to join their fellows from Nabatieh, Bint Jbeil and Hasbaya.

In Mount Lebanon, a group of citizens had set tires ablaze at the international highway of Aley.

In Nehme, the international highway has been closed after citizens set tires on fire causing traffic jam in the locality, as reported by the Traffic Management Center.
