Protesters marched from the Labor Ministry towards the Central Bank in Hamra

Protesters in Beirut also marched from the Labor Ministry and stopped at the Central Bank in Hamra where they attempted to smash the outer gate until security forces intervened to stop them.

Protesters gather at Martyr Square to celebrate Labor day. Car convoys were also organised.

Hundreds of protesters gathered in the streets of Beirut Friday to voice their anger at the dire economic situation in the country and the depreciation of the national currency. Earlier in the day a convoy of cars and protesters set off from Riad al-Solh Square and Martyrs’ Square - the epicenter of the mass protests that broke out on Oct. 17, 2019 – and passed by the Social Affairs Ministry in Badaro.In Martyrs’ Square, hundreds of protesters waving Lebanese flags stood outside of their cars chanting anti-government slogans, and dancing to music played on speakers.

وطنية - وصلت إلى طرابلس ظهر اليوم، مواكب سيارة تقل متظاهرين من الحراك الشعبي، قدمت من العاصمة بيروت ومن بلدة عرسال في البقاع ومن جل الديب ومناطق عدة، لتأييد حراك طرابلس، حيث التقى الجميع في ساحة النور، وسط تدابير أمنية وعسكرية مشددة أمام سرايا طرابلس وفرع المصرف المركزي وعند تقاطع الطرق المؤدية إلى عاصمة الشمال.
