On 07 Sep 15, at around 1815hrs, a security operation started in Taanayel-Central Bekaa, on the entry of the Ceramic Factory & the Flower Plantation. After an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) was discovered, the Lebanese Armed Forces & the Internal Security Forces blocked the road and cordoned off the area. At around 1920hrs, the LAF managed to dismantle the IED. The IED was prepared for remote detonation, weighed around 5 kg and placed on the side of the road. |

The Army arrested 23 Syrian nationals in east and north Lebanon, mostly for lacking identification papers, the military said in a statement. The Army said “some” of the detainees were “suspected of belonging to terrorist organizations,” while others were arrested for illegally entering the country. |
