Three people were killed and 16 injured overnight when a Syrian bus rammed into several vehicles near the Masnaa border crossing in eastern Lebanon, the state-run National News Agency reported Tuesday. NNA said the accident happened around 300 meters away from the base of the General Security at the crossing. The Syrian bus crashed into the vehicles after its brake failed, it said. On 29 May 15, the Lebanese Armed Forces said that it has arrested scores of people suspected of entering Lebanon illegally and of belonging to terrorist organizations. The army command stated in a communique that the arrest of 47 people took place on Thursday 28 May 15 during raids that military units carried out in the area of al-Masnaa in the eastern Bekaa Valley. The area is inhabited by Syrian Nationals. Some of the detainees are suspected of infiltrating Lebanon and others are suspected of belonging to terrorist groups. Five unregistered motorcycles were seized during the raids.
