On 14 Aug 15, an army unit raided several locations where persons wanted in drug-related crimes are hiding, mainly in Kneisseh, Maqneh, Hermel and Dar Al-Wasiaa villages. Two persons were consequently arrested and a huge amount of light weapons and ammunition were seized in the process. The Army also captured in AlQaa-Ras Baalbek citizens on charges of smuggling goods across the border in a pickup. On the other hand, the LAF arrested in Gaza - West Bekaa 19 people of Syrian nationality wandering inside Lebanese territory illegally. All the above-mentioned detainees and seizures were handed over to the competent authorities for further action. |

| Death of a citizen in a shooting in Maqne-Bekaa |
On 06 Apr 15, a personal dispute between people in the town of Maqne northern Bekaa escalated into shooting and the injury of a citizen in the neck. He was taken to Dar al-Hikma hospital in Baalbek and died from his wounds. Security forces headed to the scene and initiated an investigation. |
