Man arrested with 100g of heroin
A Lebanese man was in custody Wednesday after Beirut police found him to be in possession of around 100 grams of heroin “intended for distribution,” according to an Internal Security Forces statement. Authorities arrested the man, identified as 35-year-old M. Aa., near south Beirut’s Camille Chamoun Sports City stadium Monday, after they found him distributing heroin. Upon arrest, police seized 10 bags of heroin in the man’s possession, each containing about 10 grams of the drug – worth a total of $3,000 to $4,000, the ISF said. The man’s case is currently under investigation, according to the ISF. A photo released Wednesday by the ISF shows 10 small plastic bags containing heroin.
