Dozens of protesters gathered in front of Finance Minister Youssef Khalil’s residence in Raouche Saturday to protest his “interference” in the August 4, 2020 Beirut port blast investigation and to object to the delay in the port blast investigation. Protesters spoke out against the delay in the appointment of judges to the Court of Cassation, holding Khalil responsible because he has yet to sign an appointment letter, which they say has been on his desk for weeks. The Court of Cassation has been unable to rule on complaints filed against the blast investigation head Judge

Around a hundred students protested Tuesday against anticipated tuition fee increases at the American University of Beirut. The demonstration started on AUB’s campus in Hamra outside the College Hall building, which houses the administration and the office of the university’s president, Fadlo Khuri. The protesters then marched on to different spots on campus, including outside Khuri's residence and one of the main classroom buildings.

Dozens of protesters gathered in Downtown Beirut to voice their objections to the capital control bill that was being discussed in a joint parliamentary committee meeting. The activist group Cry of the Depositors called for the mobilization. The committee session ended without the bill being referred to Parliament for a full vote. Discussions will resume next Tuesday. 

وطنية – طرابلس - نفذ عمال بلدية طرابلس اعتصاما امام القصر البلدي، احتجاجا على عدم قبضهم المساعدة الاجتماعية والوصول الى حائط مسدود في هذا الشأن. ثم قام العمال بمسيرة حطت رحالها عند منزل وزير الداخلية في محلة المئتين، حيث نفذوا اعتصاما في ظل إجراءات أمنية للجيش وعناصر قوى الأمن الداخلي. ولفت النقيب عمر دلال في كلمة الى "تعقيدات تتسبب بها مسؤولة إحدى الدوائر تحول دون وصول المساعدة الاجتماعية الى عمال بلدية طرابلس".
