Syrian Refugees Information System (SRIS)

The Syrian Refugees Information System is information and data hub concerning the conditions and interventions related to Syrian refugees in Lebanon.

The SRIS is currently composed of the following sub-systems:

Mapping of the geographic distribution of Syrian Refugees in Lebanon

This mapping exercise actively, collects, consolidates and assesses data discrepancies and gaps from employing different information and data sources from Humanitarian aid organizations, municipalities, national civil society organizations and practitioners, among others. The purpose of this exercise is to provide a comprehensive overview on the number of Syrian refugees in Lebanon, and their geographic distribution, as to allow Aid actors to efficiently plan and organize their actions.

Mapping of aid projects targeting Syrian refugees in Lebanon

This mapping system is aimed at supporting humanitarian and recovery organizations as well as institutions who are currently working, or planning future interventions directed towards syrian refugees in Lebanon. The system lists projects and interventions organized by their respective sectors of interventions and by geographical coverage. The purpose of this exercise is to support coordination efforts and to identify possible gaps in aid distribution, so as to increase delivery and efficiency of aid.

Mapping of Human rights violations against Syrian refugees in Lebanon

This mapping system aims at creating a platform for the consolidation, organization and mapping of the different Human Rights violations occuring against Syrian refugees in Lebanon, the purpose of this exercise is to provide Human Rights activists, organizations and practitioners with the relevant tools and platform to report and to research and analyse the conditions, status and frequencies of Human Rights violations and their dimesnions in Lebanon, as to be able to plan relevant interventions to reduce the suffering of oppressed and discriminated against groups.

Mapping of the geographical distribution of the most vulnerable Syrian refugees community in Lebanon

This mapping exercise actively, collects, consolidates existing vulnerability data, studies and assessments from various sources and maps them to their different localities in Lebanon. The purpose of this exercise is to allow Humanitarian bodies and organizations to spot vulnerable groups among the Syrian refugee population in Lebanon, as to best plan their interventions in the purpose of reducing vulnerabilities.
