Contract teachers carried out a sit-in in front of the Education Ministry with the participation of General Confederation of Lebanese Workers head Bechara al-Asmar who demanded that the teachers “shall have a social security that provides family allowances, school grants and transportation allowances.”
وطنية - نفذ حراك المتعاقدين الأساسي والمستعان بهم اعتصاما أمام وزارة التربية، شارك فيه رئيس الإتحاد العمالي العام الدكتور بشارة الأسمر الذي قال: "اللقاء اليوم هو صرخة من أجل المساواة بين المتعاقدين وبقية قطاعات الوظيفة الرسمية. ونحن على تنسيق دائم مع حراك المتعاقدين من أجل أن يكون لهم ضمان اجتماعي يتفرغ منه التعويضات العائلية والمنح المدرسية والنقل".
