Nayla Moawad: The first woman to be appointed Minister of Social Affairs

Nayla Moawad was the first woman to be appointed as the Minister of Social Affairs from July 2005 to July 2008 in the cabinet of Prime Minister Fouad Siniora and under the presidency of Emile Lahoud. Moawad was among the first women parliamentarians from 1991 to 2004.
