Dozens protest against Bisri Dam project
Dozens of protesters gathered at south Lebanon’s Bisri Valley Saturday to protest against the building of a dam in the area.
The activist groups National Campaign to Protect the Bisri Valley and Lebanon Eco Movement organized the demonstration, called Human Chain for Bisri, to protest against building the dam as part of a World Bank-funded project. The project aims to create a 125-million-cubic-meter reservoir in the Bisri Valley.
