Initiatives Addressing the Past in Lebanon: Overview and Timeline (1990-2017)

The “Mapping of initiatives addressing the past in Lebanon”, in partnership with forumZFD (Civil Peace Service), documents initiatives addressing past political violence and conflicts in Lebanon between 1990 and 2017, with 156 initiatives recorded to date. The database provides an overview and description of each initiative, classifying them under 3 overall objectives: truth-seeking and right to know; reparation; justice & non-recurrence.

This visual maps out the yearly frequency of these reconciliation initiatives by type, in addition to highlighting the initiatives’ approach and overall objective.

يوثّق "مسح المبادرات التي تتناول الماضي في لبنان"، بالشراكة مع forumZFD  (منتدى خدمة السلام المدني)، المبادرات التي تتناول العنف السياسي والنزاعات السابقة في لبنان بين عامي ١٩٩٠ و٢٠١٧، وقد بلغ عدد المبادرات المسجّلة حتى الآن ١٥٦ مبادرة. توفّر قاعدة البيانات لمحةً عامّةً ووصفاً لكلّ مبادرة وتصنّفها ضمن ثلاثة أهدافٍ شاملة: السعي إلى الحقيقة والحق في المعرفة؛ التعويض؛ العدالة وعدم التكرار.
