Capacity development for former civil-war fighters

In collaboration with UNDP, Fighters for Peace, an association of former civil war combatants, initiated a capacity building programme in 2014, targeting former civil-war-fighters in order help and train them on how to use their experiences during the war to raise awareness among youth on the consequences of violence and on preventing present-day violence. One aspect of the programme was to take former fighters to Ireland to exchange experiences and perceptions of dealing with a conflict-ridden past.
