Description:
The Oral History project on the missing and forcibly disappeared during the Lebanese war (1975-1990) was initiated in 2011 as part of the wider project "Talking between generations: an oral history project on political violence and its impact", conducted by the International center for transitional justice. Students are trained on the issue of the missing and forcibly disappeared and on how to conduct interviews on sensitive subjects. Following the training, participants identify relatives of disappeared persons in their surroundings, and conduct audio interviews with them. Since 2011 ACT carried out its oral history project with Palestinian youth and university students from Notre Dame University (NDU), the American University of Beirut (AUB), Saint Joseph University (USJ), Balamand University, Lebanese American University (LAU), Beirut Arab University (BAU) and Manar University (MUT).
