On World Teacher's Day, the dissolved Syndicate of teachers cancels its plan to stage sit-ins in the syndicate's branches in the governorates. Instead, teachers are invited to participate in celebrations in school in light of recent goodwill gestures made by the Ministry of Education. These gestures include reconsidering the deposition of dozens of teachers. The syndicate had first called teachers to demonstrate to protest against the arbitrary deposition, transfer, and early retirement of teachers, the repression of syndicate's protests and the dissolution of the syndicate.
