Workers and retirees of the Lafarge Jordan Cement Company stage a sit-in outside the Amman Chamber of Industry building where a meeting is held to discuss the restructuring plan they oppose. Workers declared they would not go back to work unless the restructuring plan is amended. They demand to remove the clauses in the restructuring plan that reduce expenses at the expense of workers that include referring more than 70 workers to early retirement, depriving retirees of health insurance, and removing end-of-service benefits, solidarity funds, and grants for employees' children's schooling.
