Women take to the streets against economic policies and rising prices

On 30 November 1974, women’s groups, committees, and organisations (including the League for Lebanese Women’s rights) protested the country’s deteriorating economic situation and the rising prices. They were joined by other demonstrating groups that also demanded the amendment of Article 50 of the Labour Law and Decree 34/67 concerning representation in trade affairs.
