Women can extend their NSSF benefits to family members [Law Decree no. 2/1987]

Thursday, January 1, 1987

Women were able to extend their NSSF benefits to their family members, namely their children. Prior to the Law Decree no. 2/1987, only men could access family allowances. Women could register in the NSSF if they are working, without being dependent on the working male. Moreover, if the wife works and the husband doesn't, the latter cannot benefit from his wife’s NSSF subscription.
