Description:
Unemployed start an open-ended sit-in outside the Governorate building in Ma'an to demand job opportunities. Negotiations are ongoing as parliamentary members representing Ma'an presented their demand to the Prime Minister. However, securiy forces also threatened to break up the sit-in. At the end of February, MPs and minister promised to talk with employers to provide them with employment opportunities. Their protest tent was destroyed at the end of March, during the repression of the demonstrations that denounced elections results.
