Teachers were prevented by security forces from staging a sit-in outside the Ministry of Education in Amman to demand the reinstatement of the dissolved Jordanian Teachers Syndicate and to solve administrative and judicial issues that affect several teachers. Around 200 teachers were arrested. They were released in the evening.
