Teachers stage a sit-in outside the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Amman to protest the arbitray transfers of teachers, to reinstate teachers referred to early retirement or suspended from work, and to demand the reinstatement of their dissolved syndicate. Security forces arrested at least 30 teachers to prevent them from joining the sit-in.
