Journalists and employees who work with the public media institutions strike nationwide. The National Union of Tunisian Journalists called for a general strike in public media institutions, namely public service television broadcaster, the Tunisian Radio station, TAP news agency and the New Printing, Press and Publishing Company SNIPE-La Presse. The move comes in response to the government's failure to meet demands put forward by the SNJT. They defend the independence of public media's editorial line and demand necessary reforms for the institutions (appointments, allocation of ressources etc)
