Establishment of Helem, the first LGBTIQ organisation in the region and in Lebanon

The Anti-War & Anti-Globalisation Movement, gathered in Beirut, bringing together social movements, organizations, political parties, networks, and coalitions from 54 countries, as well as Lebanese women’s cooperatives. Helem, the first LGBTIQ organisation in the region and in Lebanon, saw the light within this period.
