Careem drivers stage a sit-in outside Careem's headquarters in Amman to protest against the absence of response to their demands. Their demands include restoring the previous price of trips, renewing their work permits through the Land Transport Regulatory Commission (LTRC) without referring to their companies, reducing the service charge deducted by companies to 15 %, canceling the 4% tax withheld from drivers by companies, aligning companies tarriffs with LTRC tarriffs, increasing penalties for companies that do not align with LTRC tarriffs, aligning job security standards with LTRC standards, conditioning the ban of drivers and removal of their work permits to LTRC approval and reducing work permit fees to 200 dinars.
