نفذ أهالي بلدة النبي عثمان في البقاع الشمالي اعتصاما بجانب الطريق الدولي، بعلبك حمص، عند مدخل البلدة، احتجاجا على فقدان عدد من الشباب بسبب السرعة الزائدة على الاوتوستراد. ورفع المعتصمون لافتات، منها "بدنا نزف شبابنا عرسان ع بيوتن مش ع قبورن".
وطالب المحتجون محافظ بعلبك الهرمل بشير خضر بالايعاز من أجل إنشاء مطبات لتخفيف السرعة وعدم تعريض أولادنا للهلاك والموت بسبب الحوادث الاليمة".
من جهة ثانية، طالب أهالي البلدة بوضع حد للسرقات والاعتداء على الأملاك الخاصة، واستكمال التحقيقات والقبض على السارقين.
