Residents in Jeb Jenine stage a sit-in in front of a bank branch to denounce corruption
Residents in the Bekaa town of Jeb Jenine held a sit-in in front of the Bank of Beirut and the Arab Countries branch in Jeb Jenine, where protesters held angry signs, reading “corruption system” and “thieves.” Their sit-in was staged what day after bank depositor Abdullah al-Saai took hostages in a bank in the Bekaa on Tuesday in an attempt to retrieve his savings. Saai was arrested by Internal Security Forces.
