Order of Engineers members start an open-ended strike and stage a sit-in outside the Order's headquarters in Beirut to demand better working conditions and an increase in wages
وطنية - بدأ موظفو نقابة المهندسين في بيروت والمناطق اضرابا مفتوحا عاما، ونفذوا اعتصاما في مقر النقابة في بئر حسن ومراكزها، مطالبين بتحسين اوضاعهم وزيادة رواتبهم. وأشار بيان للموظفين الى "أن الاضراب سيستمر مفتوحا وفي كل المراكز لحين تحقيق المطالب"، واكدوا "أن المسؤوليات الملقاة على عاتقهم كبيرة لجهة انجاز معاملات المهندسين ومتابعة ملفاتهم الطبية والادارية وتنسيب الجدد الى النقابة، وهو ما لا يتناسب مع رواتبهم الزهيدة في ظل الأزمة الاقتصادية والمالية المستفحلة".
