Minibus drivers in the Bekaa stage a sit-in and roadblock in Chtaura to protest the increase in fuel prices
وطنية - زحلة - نفذ أصحاب وسائقو "الفانات" في البقاع اعتصاما في ساحة شتوره، وعملوا على قطع الطريق الدولية احتجاجا على تردي اوضاعهم مع ارتفاع سعر المازوت وعدم التزام محطات الوقود بالاسعار حيث تجاوز سعر صفيحة المازوت 600 الف ليرة"، مهددين بالتصعيد "اذا استمرت الامور على ما هي".
Minibus drivers in the Bekaa held a sit-in on Thursday at the Chtaura square and blocked the road to protest the increase of fuel prices, the state-run National News Agency reported. The drivers denounced their deteriorating living conditions amid cost increases, saying that 20 liters of diesel were being sold in gas stations at LL600,000 whereas the Energy Ministry’’s price list issued on Thursday listed 20 liters at LL460,000.
