Group of people, mainly protesters from Amal movement clash with riot police near Ring Bridge

A group of people from Al-Khandaq al-Ghamiq area clashed with riot police near the Ring Bridge in Beirut Saturday afternoon, after they were stopped from entering the city's Downtown area.

The group, reportedly Amal Movement supporters, threw rocks, fireworks and burning tires at the police, who hit back with tear gas.

At least one police member was injured.
