Dozens protest Turkish invasion outside UN headquarters in Beirut

Dozens of people gathered Friday morning in front of the United Nations headquarters in Beirut to protest Turkey's military offensive against Kurdish forces in northern Syria. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan began the offensive two days ago, after having received a green light from U.S. President Donald Trump during a phone call several days earlier. The incursion has opened a major new front in the eight-year Syrian civil war and drawn fierce criticism internationally.
