The Alternative Press Syndicate in Lebanon held a protest in Downtown Beirut yesterday in response to Israeli forces’ killing of Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh. Demonstrators, who gathered outside the headquarters of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia, said this was an effort to deliver a message to the UN and demand an “investigation and international condemnation.”
